When we give each other Christmas gifts in His name, let us remember that He has
given us the sun and the moon and the stars, and the earth with its forest and mountains
and oceans and all that lives and moves upon them. He has given us all green things and
everything that blossoms and bears fruit and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused and to save us from our own foolishness, from all our sins, He came down to earth
and gave us himself. ~Sigrid Unset

Beautiful. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful reminder of what it is really about. Jesus's sacrifice for us. As I wonder through the stores finishing up shopping, I look at all the grumpy people, frustrated that the poor check out person won't hurry faster, so they can move on and very seldom do I hear a thank you or a Merry Christmas, at least not lately. I have been smiling, no matter my hurry, thanking and wishing everyone I can a Merry Christmas. I'm so happy God has blessed me with a husband, 2 great kids and my health, heat in our home, my extended family and friends and fabulous food. I'm truly blessed. Thank you Jesus.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wonderful Christmas wish. May you have a blessed, Happy Christmas. God bless. Cathy

Dear Ann, I just 'discovered' you on Flickr and was enchanted by your home and designs. I don't typically read the profiles, just lazy I guess :). However, I read yours and was so touched. I am a 'radical solution' breast cancer survivor also. I reached 5 years of survival this Fall, and am so grateful to the Lord. I asked Him for time to raise my children, they are now 15, 18 and 21. He is so good. I rarely ever talk about the past, but your statements moved me. God created us for a purpose and the purpose is GOOD. Merry Christmas. Sweet blessings :)
